About the Artwork

This design pulls directly from radical labor iconography: the arched, ready-to-strike cat is a playful cousin of the historic black-cat “sabo-tabby” used by the Industrial Workers of the World to signal sabotage and direct action at the point of production — slowing things down, refusing obedience, and reminding bosses that nothing runs without workers.

The red palette isn’t an accident either — it echoes the long association between red and the socialist and labor movements, a color tied to workers’ struggle and international solidarity.
