Book Bans Are Fascist
This canvas tote uses bold, vintage-comic style artwork to deliver a clear message: censoring history isn’t protective — it’s propagandistic.
A UFO beams up books in a retro sci-fi scene, paired with:
Censored History Is Propaganda
Book Bans Are Fascist
Dismantle Systems of Oppression
It’s visually striking without being loud, and political without being performative.
Designed for people who understand that authoritarian systems start by restricting information and rewriting the historical record.
Ideal for librarians, teachers, archivists, students, organizers, and anyone who refuses to let censorship pass as “curriculum control.”
Part of our broader work challenging propaganda, revisionism, and the politics of erasure.

About the Artwork
The design draws on mid-century comic covers — a genre historically used to critique political anxieties through allegory.
The UFO abducting books works both literally and metaphorically: when governments, school boards, or extremist groups remove books from shelves, they remove historical memory.
The language stays exact. “Book bans are fascist” is not exaggeration — it’s documentation. This artwork transforms a familiar pulp visual into commentary on censorship, disinformation, and the deliberate engineering of public ignorance.
A piece created for the spaces where information is meant to remain free.

Great bag, really quick delivery.
Being around my Dad for Thanksgiving - and so soon after the election - was making my heart hurt. So I did what any normal rAdiCaL LeFtiSt aNtiFa child would do: I bought a shirt to do the talking for me. I kept going back and forth between this one and a No War But Class War option from another seller but I wanted to be a bit more… subtle. This shirt is super soft and fits a wee bit slim. And who doesn’t love the comic book look? I definitely looked like the Enemy Within, but if the shoe fits! Now if only Deny Defend and Depose had happened prior to Thanksgiving… Oh well. There’s always xmas! Read or buy banned books from independent bookstores. Be good to your soul, mind, and body. And remember: community is resistance. Solidarity.
