When peaceful observation, lawful bystander status, or remaining in your vehicle can result in death, the public is forced to confront the reality that “compliance” and “safety” are not actually guaranteed conditions — they are narrative tools used to justify state violence after the fact. If peaceful presence isn’t enough to survive, then the tactic has to change.
